TS Graye drops playful single ‘Flowers’ ahead of brand new EP

TS Graye, the emerging voice in alt-R&B, returns with bold new effort, ‘Flowers’. Known for her introspective lyricism and captivating sound, TS Graye offers listeners an unfiltered look at the complexities of relationships whilst delving into the delicate balance between love, lust and loyalty. Listen [HERE].

Of the new single, Graye says, “‘Flowers’ dives into the post-breakup phase, exploring all of the complex emotions that surface during the in-between moments. It's that period where physical intimacy might provide a temporary escape, even though it doesn't necessarily fill the emotional void. "PLS don’t bring me flowers!" expresses a reluctance towards emotions or getting attached.”

TS Graye’s growing musical roster showcases a sophisticated evolution from a YouTube sensation to a fully-fledged pop artist unafraid to tackle complex emotional landscapes. Her journey from recording on her mother’s phone in the small town of Trowbridge, Wiltshire, to receiving support from key tastemakers such as BBC Radio 1, Apple Music, Notion, The Line of Best Fit, and Complex, is a testament to her talent and determination. Starting with her breakout single ‘MY2’ in 2018, Graye quickly captivated listeners and has since released her debut EP ‘Graye Area’.

Today’s release, ‘Flowers’, follows unfiltered reimaginings like ‘Someone Else’, ‘Green Light’ and ‘Mother’s Genes’ - all taken from the upcoming EP, ‘All For Love’.

‘Mother’s Genes’ kicked off this season of Graye as a heartfelt homage to maternal love and support. The ‘Green Light’ single can be described as a copy and paste message to your ex whilst ‘Someone Else’ tackles complacency and the enfolding problems it causes in relationships. Graye’s music, heavily influenced by the likes of Lana Del Rey and Frank Sinatra, is a blend of soulful vocals and emotional expression, drawing from her personal experiences and upbringing.
