Watching Songzio’s AW24 show, is the epitome of unserious fashion mastered. While the fabrics are familiar for the season, it is impossible to not notice that the shapes and details aren’t. The sense of comfort is introduced through round shoulders on the outerwear in variations of wool, vinyl and leather. Under those pieces, we essentially find the classic seasonal sweater  adorned with a loose turtleneck, a simple leather scarf or vests. This collection brilliantly captures the pure, subversive essence of the brand, presenting styles that are sculptural in stillness and fluid in movement. Combining elements of Deconstructed fashion with oriental elegance and youthful spirit, Songzio's 24SS collection shows the brand's order in disorder in a compelling presentation. The highlights of this collection are the harmonious convergence of classic and contemporary styles. Drawing inspiration from ancient Korean clothing and armour, Songzio incorporates its classic cocoon silhouette and volumes, delicately deconstructed by multi-layered draping and incised cuts.

Throughout the collection, the predominant use of layered and draped garments stands out. From blazers and jackets to shirts and trousers, these horizontally cut garments are combined with vertical inner layers of leather, habotai and silk. This season, Songzio's creative process, known as 'Paint on Black', materialises in the collection, with each piece starting on a black canvas and showcasing inspirational paintings. The brushstrokes and layers of these paintings represent not only the object but also its emotions, illustrating the brand's artistic approach. The concept of brushstrokes and layers is not limited to clothing, but also extends to this season's accessories. Shoulder bags and plate clutches, as well as classic round shoes and tassel loafers, accentuate the collection with their unique designs.

Moreover, the trainers created in collaboration with Reebok, inspired by this season's design elements, add an extra touch of creativity to the ensemble. In terms of fabrics and colours, Songzio's 24SS collection presents a fascinating contrast between heavy, sculptural fabrics and ultra-light, fluid ones. Voluminous, edgy materials such as leather, silk wool and satin cotton are juxtaposed with a sheer variety of silks, organza and habotai. In addition to the brand's signature black, this season's colour palette is light and delicate, with shades of ivory, beige, ecru and cream, accented by delicate shades of lime and salmon pink. The combination of these fabrics and colours further enhances the aesthetic appeal of the collection, adding depth and dimension to the meticulously crafted designs.
