Seefa releases fan-favourite Punk-Rock anthem, securing her status as the princess of Afrorock

Seefa, a self-proclaimed “afrorock princess”, is shaking up the music scene once again with the highly anticipated official release of her electrifying punk-rock anthem, BlackBird. Originally a fan-favorite on SoundCloud in 2022, the track has now landed on major streaming platforms, marking a major milestone in her rise.

Fusing punk rock, alternative, and hip-hop with an unapologetic edge, Seefa crafts music that’s both raw and introspective. BlackBird channels her experiences as a Black woman carving her own path, with sharp, unfiltered lyrics like, “damn right I know ain’t nothing that they rocking that I don’t / the ones who meant to ride for you don’t really f–-king know.” The track surges with electric guitar riffs, hard-hitting drums, and her signature mix of rapping and singing—an unmistakable statement of her versatility.

“Whenever I perform, BlackBird is the song everyone asks about, so I’m excited to finally release it properly,” Seefa shares. “Even back in 2022, the love for this track was huge, and as a big rock fan myself, I can’t wait for more people to experience it.”
