“Olayinka is a star in the making, with love at the center

of her universe” - Deeds Magazine

"Seven tracks of pure bliss that bounce around different aspects of love, a nod of reassurance and what feels like a hug from a loved one, ‘Let’s Get Romantic’ is a roaring entrance from the LA-based newcomer, Yinka." - CLASH Magazine

Harnessed with vulnerability and an enchanting feel, Olayinka Ehi has marked her return with her latest single, “Where Did The Sun Go?”. Following on from the acclaimed 2023 release ‘Let’s Get Romantic’ which accumulated support from Clash Magazine, Deeds Magazine, GUAP, and more, the LA based luminary unfastens a compelling single layered with substance.

Well-known for her irresistible slices of heaven, Olayinka Ehi has called upon producer Chris Potter for another unblemished display of other-worldly art. Reputable for pushing themes of love to the forefront of her music,“Where Did The Sun Go?” follows perfectly in suit. Olayinka’s heart-felt lyricism blends escape with reality, streamlining an authentic connection with her supporters, whilst leaving time for self-discovery. Held together with a piano-led dreamscape speckled with percussive elements and angelic harmonies, we are greeted with further glimpses of her forthcoming music.

Speaking on “Where Did The Sun Go?” Olayinka Ehi commented, “I was in a cloudy space for a long time after my last project - I was amongst good things and good people but I couldn’t get past the fog. “Where Did The Sun Go” is my best description of that period of my life. This song is for everyone who ever felt like the couldn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel but knowing deep down that there’s a possibility that it exists”

Born in Benue State with a traditional Nigerian family whose priority was education, Olayinka from a young age was on the fence about pursuing her life-long dream of becoming an artist. Infatuated with music since she was little, Ehi put pen to paper from as early as 7-years-old and began writing her own material. With her family later moving to New York in hopes of building a better life, Olayinka decided to finish her bachelors and masters by the age of 22 and took the courageous leap of moving to LA to focus on music.

Outside of being a talented musician, Ehi’s priorities span beyond music, embracing female empowerment throughout her music. Laced with underlying messages that articulate the importance of women being true to themselves and living beyond expectations placed upon them, Olayinka raised funds to build an all-girls school in Tanzania that has a strong emphasis on creativity and the arts.
Housing previous support from Clash Magazine, Deeds Magazine, GUAP, Native Mag, Culture Custodian, and many more, Olayinka has previously collaborated with Afropop sensation Adekunle Gold, featuring on his ‘Afro Pop Vol. 1’ project on their track “Exclusive”. Now gearing supporters up for the release of her forthcoming EP, supporters can expect a body of work that continues to push Olayinka’s boundaries, both sonically and lyrically.
