Rising RnB songstress Indyanah set to release another single: ‘SELFISH’

Born and raised in East London, Indyanah is a 21-year-old independent singer-songwriter, who has always had a musical background. From being a bold musically inclined 6-year- old surrounded by a family of musicians to attending the prestigious music institute, ELAM, in her teen years where she sharpened her craft and leaned into her superpower, vulnerability.

Influenced by powerhouses, Brandy, Jazmine Sullivan, and Victoria Monet, her sound is a mixture of warm nostalgic R&B fused with the sexy sultry sounds of neo soul. She describes her music as “honest yet feel good”, “futuristic but nostalgic”. This is prevalent in her debut single, ‘Energy’ and latest single ‘For Now’ the audacious mantra-led love songs also produced by Tendai, which Pit Magazine described as ‘a compelling and infatuating debut offering’ and was also apart of BBC1 Radio Rnb with Victoria Jane.

Indyanah packages her sensual essence into another daring single titled ‘Selfish’. It’s a continuation of themes like love, lust and double standards in relationships which she explores in her previous single ‘For Now’, but this time the rhythm changes gear from the slow-tease bassline and smoky synths to cascading percussions and delicate chords.

‘SELFISH” Produced by Aaron Blakey and Tendai, the production lures us further into Indyanah’s world built on feminine power and passion-filled rendezvous. Co-written with rising artist Sarah Parke, Indyanah’s vocals take centred stage as she indulges in a frivolous romantic connection that leaves the other person yearning for more. In attempts to escape the pressures of relationship attachments, Indyanah remains grounded in her decisions to keep things light and playful. ‘SELFISH’ is a stunning, hip-swaying offering for those who are ready to affirm their power and put themselves first in relationships.
