Oscar Anton explores true intimacy across stunning new cut ‘Brown Eyes’

“Brown Eyes” comes fresh on the heels of Oscar Anton’s acclaimed single “Monde Nouveau” (watch) – a stunning, stripped-back number racking up 2.7M+ streams on Spotify alone, with Oscar’s soft French licks giving us a glimpse into the truly feel-good vibrations still to come.

His latest release, “Brown Eyes”, emerges as a tender love letter to passion and intimacy; a kind of love that intensifies the deeper he explores while reflecting on his own experiences and vulnerability to truly open up. “How long it takes for you to leave // How long it takes for this to heal,” he pleads over a succulent, glossy guitar lead setting pace. The bright, airy sound waves playfully flirt with his soft, intricate vocal melodies before vibrant pianos and syncopated drums elevate the record into a space that feels as beautiful as it is meaningful.

Speaking on the track, Anton explains: “While making my first album, I rented a little house in LA by myself for a couple of months. After leaving someone I loved for a very long time, I hoped California’s sun would help. This is the first song I recorded in that house.”

A highly skilled songwriter, musician, producer and performer, the rising talent continues to deliver smooth, soulful sound waves laced with introspection since his re-introduction in 2020. Finding a more authentic style that enabled freedom from the major label conveyor belt, his ‘Home Of Sanity’ (listen) challenge showcased a true bedroom pop starlet in the making, releasing a three-track collection every month of the year including his breakthrough record “nuits d’été” (‘summer nights’) alongside his sister Clémentine.
