Norwegian-born London-based artist Sletta kicks off 2025 with latest single, ‘Out of Time’
"Centre stage without overemphasized flourishes is Sletta’s vocal melodies. Empathetic, intimate, and soft as cream." – Andy Collins, Scandinavian Soul
"The project’s remarkable ability to create introspection is undeniable and forms a connection that I’ll continue to search for within new music. " – Amelia Garrett, Under the Radar
Originally created during a songwriting challenge, Out of Time has evolved into a heartfelt reflection on authenticity and relationships.
“Out of Time came to life during a songwriting challenge with a group of friends where we had to write our own tune using words like ‘acceptable,’ ‘rabbit,’ and ‘poison,’” Sletta explains. “Once the melody clicked, the lyrics just flowed. After the challenge, I revised and refined the song to bring out its core message.”
She continues, “The track is about the power of honesty—how speaking your truth can strengthen meaningful relationships or help you let go of those that no longer serve you. It’s a reminder that staying true to yourself fosters growth in both your personal well-being and connections with others.”
Fans of Hiatus Kaiyote, Cleo Sol, Robert Glasper, Lianne La Havas, and Yebba will especially enjoy the soulful, layered harmonies and introspective vibe of the track.
