NEW ERA’S LATEST HOLIDAY COLLECTION BRINGS MLB TEAMS IN FROM THE COLD WITH A CELEBRATION OF HISTORY AND HERITAGE
Rounding off the year in retro campus style, New Era’s latest MLB Heritage collection revisits a golden age of baseball-inspired dressing through classic designs and considered silhouettes. The apparel selection features a selection of letterman jackets, hoodies and t-shirts in four of the MLB’s most iconic teams, each represented in their traditional livery.
First on the pitch, the Oakland Athletics are repped by an all-green adjustable 9FORTY, with the unmistakable ‘A’s’ team logo emblazoned to the front in a raised premium stitch. A side patch is included on the right side of the cap featuring the legendary former Athletics player Rickey Henderson, who holds several world records.
Another highlight across apparel and headwear is the San Diego Padres matching cap and letterman jacket set which features the team's signature tonal brown shades. Padres is embroidered across the front of the jacket in the team's instantly recognisable font, this is accompanied by light brown lines on the collar, repeating the vintage varsity aesthetic. The jacket is finished off with a World Series logo on the right arm and a large ‘SD’ emblem on the back referencing the team’s hometown of San Diego. A brown snapback 9FIFTY completes the set with a raised ‘SD’ logo on the front with an additional side patch that celebrates the team's 50th anniversary from 1969 – 2019.
Venturing further upstate, the LA Dodgers are represented in a matching hoodie and headwear combo. The hoodie is two-tone with a navy-blue main body along with contrasting grey sleeves and hood. Los Angeles is featured in navy in an arch on the chest area of the hoodie with ‘LA’ written underneath. Adding a casual touch to this set is an unstructured and adjustable 9TWENTY cap which features a raised ‘LA’ logo at the front.
Finally, to the colder climates this season, the New York Yankees collection includes a grey ribbed and cuffed beanie with the world-famous ‘NY’ Yankees logo featured front and centre. A corresponding light grey t-shirt finishes the collection with a World Series patch on the right-hand side and EAST NY featured across the chest in dark green.
