Neo-soul/nu-jazz artist Sletta releases ‘Good Signs’, the first release from her upcoming project

Norwegian artist Sletta, based in London, is is set to release her single Good Signs on the 24th of November 2023, the first track to be released for her upcoming project.

Good Signs emphasizes the importance of recognizing positive cues in life, shedding what no longer serves you, and trusting your instincts.

"As a young woman, you often face situations where people undermine you. This song expresses the frustration of dealing with unwanted advice and interference in one's life. It also emphasizes the importance of recognizing those who pretend to care about your-wellbeing but who actually don´t." – Sletta

Sletta found herself captivated by London's dynamic music scene after relocating in 2015 to study music. Infusing the tranquillity of her homeland with the urban tapestry and diverse influences from London, she adeptly crafts neo-soul and contemporary jazz compositions. Her debut single Take Your Time (2021) earned praise from Andy Collins of Scandinavian Soul for its soothing, intimate vocals.

Her music effortlessly crosses paths with artists like Cleo Sol, Yazmin Lacey, Hiatus Kaiyote, Nubiyan Twist, Marie Dahlstrøm and Gretchen Parlato, infusing it with the resonant vocal inspirations drawn from jazz legends like Carmen McRae and Annie Ross.

The track is released independently.
