Longtime DJ/Producer Anna-My Debuts With ‘Memoria’

On March 28th, Sweden-born DJ and producer Anna-My made her highly anticipated debut with synth-heavy nostalgic new single ‘Memoria’, after a decade behind the decks in Stockholm, New York and London. She arrives with a bold and immersive sound, blending rich electronic textures and bubbling melodic synthesizers, pulling you into the sonic world that she has meticulously crafted over the years.

Anna-My has dedicated half of her lifetime to dance music and club culture. A fixture behind the decks at iconic venues across Stockholm, London, and New York, she brings an eclectic fusion of groovy beats and hypnotic rhythms—shaped by her years in these cities. With a background as a Boiler Room employee, music journalist, and club organizer, she has contributed to the scene from multiple angles for over a decade.

Her debut single, 'Memoria', showcases a sound she has been refining for a long time, through hundreds of mixes and late night sets. It’s a euphoric firework of bubbling layered synthesizers, bold house-textures and a crisp and nostalgic snare that propels the track forward, drawing inspiration from producers such as Jamie xx, Caribou and Peggy Gou.

"It feels like I've been working on this music my whole  life. It’s a reflection of memories and melodies that I've collected. Memoria transfers me to the vibrant streets of Brixton, London, where I somehow became an adult. The crowds of people, each on their own mission, a blend of cultures from everywhere, the scent of spices in the air, vendors calling out and drinks pouring — it’s all pure energy, color, and life moving at full speed." – Anna-My

‘Memoria’ drops on Genesis Records on March 28th, with more releases set to follow this spring. It will be premiered at the Swedish Grammy Awards where Anna-My will be the official DJ on March 27th.

Biography

Sweden-born DJ and producer Anna-My (Anna My Wester) has dedicated half of her lifetime to dance music and club culture. A fixture behind the decks at iconic venues across Stockholm, London, and New York, she brings an eclectic fusion of synth-heavy tech-house, groovy beats, and hypnotic rhythms, shaped by her years in these vibrant cities.

Growing up in a tiny village on the Swedish west coast, she learned to DJ during school breaks, and by the age of 17, she was already making a name for herself in Gothenburg’s underground scene. The money she earned from organizing clubs funded a trip to New York, where she started working on launching Boiler Room across the Atlantic. She helped build the New York-BR first studios, painted walls, booked gigs, and warmed up the crowds. Simultaneously, she played late nights at iconic NYC clubs like Baby’s All Right, Bossa Nova Civic Club, and TBA Brooklyn. She later moved to London where she spent three years immersing herself in the heart of British club culture. With a background as a Boiler Room employee, music journalist, and club organizer, she has contributed to the scene from multiple angles, living and breathing electronic music throughout her whole adult life.

After many years behind the decks and in the studio, Anna-My is set to make her highlyanticipated artist debut in 2025 on the Stockholm-based indie label Genesis Records.
