After capturing the hearts of audiences last year with her debut single "James," premiering on the esteemed WONDERLAND MAGAZINE and amassing over 260k streams on Spotify alone, London-based sensation Angelica returns with her latest single, "Secret History." This release serves as a prelude to the intriguing narrative introduced in her previous work, solidifying her standing as one of the most compelling songstresses among this year's emerging artists. To accompany the single, a live video has also been unveiled, allowing fans to witness the magic of Angelica's performance in the intimate setting of the London church she calls home.

"Secret History" unfolds as an escapist's dream, providing a glimpse into Angelica's most personal inner thoughts. Like a hazy stream of consciousness, the song explores the unseen chapters of our lives and invites listeners to transgressively peek behind closed doors. The delicate production by Doug Schadt (known for his work with Maggie Rogers, Ashe, and Claire Rosinkranz), tinged with whimsical piano sounds and a coaxing saxophone creates an inviting backdrop for Angelica's silky vocal lines and soulful delivery, capturing the clandestine essence of shared experiences. It illuminates the exquisite and profound interplay between beauty and devastation that unfolds when the narratives of our lives are crafted by intimate moments, bereft of any observers.

Reflecting on the track, Angelica offers an exclusive insight: "In my debut single ‘James,’ I introduced the protagonist of a larger story. ‘Secret History’ winds back the clock, taking us back to the beginning of that story. I wanted listeners to feel like they were eavesdropping, opening a music box.  It is a song about what happens behind closed doors. I like to think of it as a sort of prologue.”

Building on recent successes, including a residency at the prestigious Fringe Festival, Angelica finds herself on a rising trajectory poised for a notable breakthrough in the music industry. Her musical repertoire, characterized by a winking sense of nostalgia, a playfully romantic disposition, and poignant intimacy, delves into themes of love, loss, and myth. With skillful artistry, she weaves an ethereal soundscape imbued with a coming-of-age sensibility.

Hailing from Thessaloniki, Greece, as a Greco-American singer-songwriter, Angelica draws inspiration from epic storytelling to infuse her narrative pop music with a unique depth. Beyond being a musical force, she is a successful creative entrepreneur, steering the helm of the multimedia residency and production company, Rosemary's House, all while making her home in the vibrant city of London. Angelica's academic journey, spanning Columbia University, the University of Oxford, and the University of Cambridge, contributes a nuanced layer to her multifaceted profile. Recognition in the form of BMI's Nashville Songwriting Scholarship for her composition, "The Feeling of Almost," chosen by Grammy-winning artist Kacey Musgraves and Universal Publishing Group Nashville's CEO, Troy Tomlinson, further adds to her accolades.

In a realm where musical talent converges with narrative acumen, Angelica stands poised at the crossroads, prepared to etch an indelible mark on the industry. As her latest single takes flight, eager anticipation mounts for the enchanting odyssey she is poised to share with a global audience. Angelica transcends the conventional bounds of being merely an artist; she is a storyteller, a mythmaker, and an emerging luminary on the cusp of something truly extraordinary.
