KATHLEEN CRILLY
Kathleen Crilly is a painter from Scotland currently studying Painting and Printmaking at Glasgow School of Art. She specialises in watercolour and oil and is starting to expand into more contemporary and abstract works. She is exploring the idea of not being able to socialise as a young person going to clubs, pubs and how do you go 'Out, Out' whilst staying in during lockdown and self-reflecting her own loneliness into it. Dressing up in club clothing doing household tasks on a Saturday night.
This series of paintings are based off of nights out on facetime and how we are more conscious of what we are like by ourself even when we are with people on the phone. It shows the decline of mental state as the night goes on and self reflecting what we are really like under the influence.
