Jazz Cafe Announces Autumn-Winter Season with Global Legends and Future Sounds

The iconic London institution welcomes the best of Rap, RnB, Dub, Brazilian, Global, Soul, Jazz, New Wave, Electronic and more to the stage.

Hip Hop luminaries including The Alchemist and Lowkey to perform.

Experience the full spectrum of Electronic music with sets from the likes of retrogrove and Danny Krivit.

New wave artists takeover with the return of Mahalia Presents featuring a lineup of highly tipped emerging acts.

2024 sees a new age for Jazz Cafe. Alongside the launch of its debut festival, the live music mecca is set to bring the most diverse and exciting lineup yet to its Camden home. This autumn, London’s grassroots venue will welcome the return of global legends and the scene’s brightest emerging artists. 

Hip Hop icons take centre stage, kicking off with The Alchemist. Known for his innovative production approach, he is set to bring his signature blend of beats and intricate soundscapes on 13th September. The UK’s very own Lowkey, the critically acclaimed rapper and activist, performs on 1st November. On 19th October, the “Coolest kid in Africa”, Nasty C, will present an evening of his chart-topping songs from double platinum album Strings and Bling and recently released album I Love It Here.

On 30th September, Richard Spaven, one of the most innovative drummers in the contemporary jazz scene performs his genre-blurring style, blending jazz, electronic, and Hip Hop. Soulful powerhouse Leela James, whose raw and emotional performances have captivated audiences worldwide, takes over on 25th November. Later, on 20th December, acclaimed soundsystem frontrunners Dub Pistols appear for a special Christmas set. Leading the British Reggae scene for over 20 years, the band have earnt icon status working alongside the likes of The Specials and Madness.

Beirut collective retrogroove will play on 11th October. Founded in Lebanon, the diverse family of creatives are masters of combining dance parties and visual arts, having toured around the globe in recent years. On 18th October, Disco pioneer Danny Krivit, known as one of the key DJs and Producers who influenced the genre, lands in London, showcasing 50 years of his legendary sounds. Also on the lineup, renowned dub producer Scientist takes over on 29th November for a special live set. His icon status in the reggae world makes this a must-see performance for any music aficionado.

The Jazz Cafe is proud to showcase the next generation of artists from around the world. The return of Mahalia Presents on 17th October will feature a curated set of rising stars, handpicked by Mahalia herself, offering a glimpse into the future of R&B and soul. On 16th November, Brazilian vocalist and Latin Grammy Winner, Dora Morelenbaum will take over, drawing from her rich heritage to deliver a blend of bossa nova, jazz, and contemporary Brazilian music. Performing their new album, Higher Dimension Waiting Room, Budapest Jazz-fusion band Jazzbois represent the city’s improv Hip Hop scene and contemporary European groove.

Head into Autumn alongside the most diverse and talented lineup yet at London’s intimate cultural hotspot. Relish in the sounds of global pioneers and discover new music from the future of RnB, Hip Hop, to Electronic and World music.
