Imogen Fawkes didn’t just stumble into fashion; it was a calling. While studying textile design at university, specializing in embroidery, Fawkes found herself frustrated by the lack of options in the market. She longed for clothing that combined intricate craftsmanship with a sustainable ethos—and when she couldn’t find it, she decided to create it herself.
“I started making clothes I wanted to wear,” she recalls. “I wanted pieces that reflected my style and passion for embroidery while being mindful of sustainability.”
Taking inspiration from the playful designs of brands like Shrimps, Fawkes built her label around a distinct identity: bold graphics, daring themes, and eco-conscious practices. She incorporates secondhand materials— vintage fabrics, curtains, and other upcycled treasures—into her striking designs.

Each of Imogen’s creations is more than just clothing; it’s a statement. Her iconic Scorpions on dress, for instance, are an emblem of her signature style: graphic, bold, and unapologetically unique.
“I love Scorpions—not for the astrology, but for their striking visual appeal,” she says, laughing at how often she’s asked if she’s a Scorpio. “I’m all about the graphics and the aesthetic.”
From beading to embroidery, every piece is a labor of love. Larger designs take hours of meticulous work, while smaller pieces still showcase her dedication to craft.

As her brand gains momentum, Fawkes is focused on growth while staying true to her values. She’s already collaborated with the British rock band Black Honey to create custom merchandise, and she has big plans to expand her reach globally.
“Paris is definitely on my list, but I’m open to opportunities anywhere.”, she shares.
