“There’s clearly a great deal of creativity imbued into Greentea Peng’s lush tunes, all dense production and twisting, turning lyrics, but she somehow makes it seem effortless” - NME

After a two-year hiatus, Greentea Peng returns today with a brand new single and music video “TARDIS (hardest)”. This track marks the beginning of a new chapter for the revered, genre-blurring artist, known for her eclectic fusion of sounds, unapologetic energy, and transcendental lyricism. The single is also accompanied by a music video, directed by ABOVEGROUND and Greentea Peng.

“TARDIS (hardest)” is a bold reintroduction to Greentea Peng’s distinctive artistry. Driven by rapturous drums that evoke intensity and movement, the track sways with low bass tones and shimmering chords, creating a rich sonic landscape that pulls listeners into her orbit. The raw and hypnotic production of the track is perfectly complemented by Greentea’s dynamic vocal delivery—oscillating between a free-flowing, spoken word cadence and moments of harmony that seamlessly meld into melodic refrains. Greentea Peng’s lyrical approach on “TARDIS (hardest)” is humble yet direct, with an urgency that underscores her growth and sharpened perspective. The track boasts production credits from trusted and long-time collaborators Earbuds, Samo and St Francis Hotel.

"An aggy exploration of gratuity and humbleness. From mind, pen to mic, a rant doused in honey wine for the times." - Greentea Peng

With her signature honeyed vocals, Greentea Peng builds smoky soundscapes and spiritual anthems, lacing her music with genre-spanning influences across everything from dub, reggae,  jazz, contemporary hip-hop and psychedelic rock. Both deeply personal and politically prescient,  Greentea’s music has touched audiences across the globe.  A performance of her song “Downers” on COLORS went viral in 2019,  interspersed with celebrated EPs and singles. Her  debut album, Man Made, arrived in 2021 to widespread acclaim, followed by the 2022’s equally revered mixtape Greenzone 108. From collaborations with U.K heavyweights such as Goldie, The Streets, Neneh Cherry and Swindle, Greentea continues to align with like-minded,  game-changing artists who exist in their own lane. This past summer Greentea has hosted her very own Rinse show,  graced Glastonbury with a surprise DJ set,  and played alongside Yussef Dayes at his curated Summer Dayes festival.

Keep your eyes peeled for more from Greentea Peng in the coming months.
