GALE DEBUTS A CATHARTIC, DANCEFLOOR GEM “NUESTRA CANCIÓN” FOLLOWING A MAJOR APPEARANCE AT LA SOLAR

February 16, 2023 — Puerto Rican powerhouse singer-songwriter GALE (pronounced GAH-leh) introduces “Nuestra Canción,” an intimate track that presents an electric beat to dance your heart out, highlighting GALE’s signature Latin pop sensibilities. Produced by DJ/producer and on-going collaborator DallasK, it’s the type of song you cry to on the dancefloor, with an emotional and cathartic electronic breakdown where you just let everything go.

In the official video, GALE is re-born; an edgy angel emerges from a tub of water and the strong female has some things to say.  The video  showcases Gale and her emotions, but also the energy of dancing with friends and getting lost in the moment via Sony Music Latin. She tells Hypebae in the editorial premiere, “I love this music video. It’s very artistic, metaphoric, colorful yet dark, with beautiful outfits and I also have another amazing girl gang. It’s directed by the great TeoGraph, who also directed the music videos for my songs ‘Inmadura’, ‘Problemas’ and ‘D PIC’. In terms of the look and feel of this video, I was inspired by the 1996 movie Romeo + Juliet, and by the Madonna era in ‘Like a Prayer’.”

GALE’s first release in the new year makes it clear why Rolling Stone named her one of the “10 Latin Acts Set To Make It Big In 2023” and one of Billboard’s “23 Latin & Spanish Artists To Watch in 2023,” and follows a year of success with her solo artist debut and as a chart-topping songwriter that earned her a first time Latin Grammys Album of The Year” nomination honoring her penmanship on Christina Aguilera “AGUILERA.”

“Nuestra Canción” portrays GALE’s signature sound and relatability mixed in with her knack for deeply honest lyrics. Speaking on the story of the single she says, “We all have that song that reminds you of your ex. That song that takes you back to the happy moments you shared together. My new single “Nuestra Canción” is about letting go, about finally accepting that the relationship is over, and that instead of crying alone at home, you go out dancing and face that song that was yours and that person’s.”

Billboard highlight’s GALE’s “anti-pop ethos” that allowed her to make waves with her recent release “D Pic,”  :: re-watch here :: best described by Rolling Stone as a “pop-rock single about receiving nasty, unsolicited sexts from men — and how they gotta fucking stop.” Her single “Problemas” :: re-watch here ::  led to a new milestone as it reached her first Top 15 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart, a celebration of her blunt and bold lyrics presenting the all too familiar toxic relationship that cycles the best ups and the worst downs. Her recent release alongside DallasK, the executive producer of her upcoming project, “Exceso” :: listen here :: interpolates Plan B’s iconic track “Candy” and further showcases her versatility.

Most recently, GALE performed at La Solar Festival in Medellín. She also graced the same stage as Camilo during Billboard Latin Week, surprised audiences with Juanes at his SOLD OUT stadium shows in Medellín performing to 40,000 to close out last year, and most recently  Last year GALE also played 93.1 Amor’s “Amor En Vivo" at The Prudential Center in New Jersey and Live In the Vineyard in Napa Valley, CA!

GALE’s effortless composition of strong female anthems has led to co-writing songs with renowned talent including the likes of Christina Aguilera, Anitta, Shakira, and Cardi B, to name a few, as well as an invitation to attend this year’s Billboard Women In Music, all before the release of her first solo single. GALE’s talent for song composition shines in her unique ability to transcribe her personal stories and emotions into words and melodies. Her longtime idol Christina Aguilera released a song she co-wrote, “Santo” with Ozuna. The songwriter also co-wrote Joel DELEŌN’s “Coco,” as well as additional co-penned track releases from Juanes, Pharrell Williams, Lele Pons, Manuel Turizo, David Bisbal, Greeicy, Pablo Alborán, Myke Towers, Wisin & Yandel, among others.

This is only the beginning of GALE’s  journey as an international pop artist.
