Flutters is the latest release from London based powerhouse producer and singer-songwriter, Paige Bea

With endorsement from tastemakers such as Radio 1’s Jack Saunders, Sian Eleri, and The Line of Best Fit, Flutters signifies a huge moment for Paige as she steps into a new era of sonic exploration and experimentation.

Completed in Berlin with collaborator Gabriel Gifford, Paige explains that the tracks were made in the midst of her ‘nursing the worst break-up I had ever had’. Thankfully, Paige was able to channel this raw, intense emotion in the writing sessions that would become the foundation upon which Flutters was built, creating what she describes as ‘the hookiest hook we’d ever heard!’. The three-track EP is instantly captivating, placing the listener in the midst of Paige’s world. From her stunning Caroline Polachek-esque vocals of Floods to the vivid lyricism in Worth It, it’s teasing, dark and intoxicating, leaving us wanting more.

Taking inspiration from her long-time idols and fellow women in the alternative electronic space Shygirl, Grimes, Oklou and Sevdaliza; sonically and structurally, Flutters is captivatingly cinematic. From its sombre opening with the slow reveal of synth sounds - eventually opening up to a grittier sound where sparser drums dramatically snap into liquid drum and bass.

'Flutters' is out everywhere now, released via DMY Artists with support from Help Musicians. Paige Bea headlines The Lower Third in London on 13th November.
