Ezra Collective Head Up Dr. Martens ‘Made Strong London’
Dr. Martens has announced a free one day takeover of Copeland Park, bringing together some of the most influential names in London’s cultural scene; including Ezra Collective, Chi Virgo, P-rallel, Motherlan, Slawn, and Reuben Dangoor. Taking place on Saturday 21st October in Peckham, the Dr. Martens Made Strong event will unite creative trailblazers across music, art and culture for a day of live performances, workshops, interactive art and talks designed to showcase the collective strength and creativity of London’s underground scenes and sounds.
Newly-crowned Mercury Prize winners Ezra Collective will headline the evening music programme, supported by West London’s revolutionary producer P-rallel and dynamic rebel Pop sensation, Chi Virgo. With rising star Nayana B, who prides herself on her innovative ability to curate Urban sounds completing the line-up. Nayana is the winner of Dr Marten’s Made Strong TikTok competition run as part of their wider mission to support grassroots talent.
On the arts front, street art and abstract expressionist Slawn and societal artist Reuben Dangoor will join forces on a new mural that will be unveiled at the event. The interactive art project, powered by Peak Mood drinks, will open up to the community a unique opportunity to collaborate with the artists by finishing the piece on-site at the event.
Multidisciplinary skate legends Motherlan will take over Copeland Park’s skate ramp; where you can expect giveaways, live screen-printing and more. Media conversationalists Original Shift will lead zine-making workshops, talks and a unique photography project to capture the rebellious self-expression of today’s youth.

The conversation will be hosted by Tayler Prince-Fraser of Shift, and will be joined by a group of creatives from in and around London, as they discuss what makes them strong. They will explore conversations around both individual and collective strength through the lens of their respective artistic mediums.
The workshop will be hosted and curated by George Vicary of Shift. Participants will be given a selection of materials and tools to create an A3 sized mixed media piece exploring ‘Strength through play’. Materials will include existing Dr. Marten’s brand assets, and spreads from Original Shift’s and Dr. Marten’s collaborative publication, ‘Broken In’. Final assets will be collated and combined with imagery captured on the day to create a zine that will be available for free for consumers at select Dr. Marten stores.
Inspired by the brand’s emblem of enduring strength, the 1460 boot and as part of its new brand platform, Dr. Martens is bringing together an event lineup from its global community for a snapshot of vibrant, thought-provoking stories about what strength means in today’s world. No longer closed-off or tough. Now fluid, creative, and inclusive. Defined by open communities and relentless optimism. The courage to make change and find power in vulnerability. The rebellion in radical self-expression.
