ESTRECHO / ALVARADO” FT. pablopablo + "AVIDA DOLLARS"

Spanish singer, songwriter, and rapper C. Tangana is celebrating the five year anniversary of his modern Spanish classic “Avida Dollars” with a reissue of the album and the release of a new single, “Estrecho / Alvarado” featuring pablopablo.

The previously unreleased track is produced by pablopablo who also provides vocals alongside Pucho. The title of “Estrecho / Alvarado” references the two metro-neighborhoods in Madrid where Pucho lived at the beginning of his career. It’s a melancholic and nostalgic look into the past, serving as a reminder of his journey from Crema to becoming El Madrileño.

The 2018 release served as a major turning point in C. Tangana’s career and for Spanish rap overall. Bringing together some of the biggest Spanish producers of the time (Steve Lean, Lost Twin, Danni Ble, Enry-K) with international references like the Colombians Sky and The Rudeboyz, an ideal sonic framework was created and allowed C. Tangana free rein to the versatility that has since become his personal hallmark.

The project is a collection of songs that have become timeless, with iconic singles including "Llorando en la Limo," (2x Platinum in Spain, 3x Platinum in Chile, Platinum in Argentina and Gold in Mexico) which remains one of the most emblematic tracks of his career and of recent Spanish rap. "Cuando me miras" is a gold-certified release in Spain and Chile and has continued to shine over time.

C. Tangana keeps an eye on the future, yet allows himself to stop and look back to celebrate this one-off project.

C. Tangana took home five Latin Grammys for projects in recent years, including two for his acclaimed album “El Madrileno” which was also Grammy nominated.
