anaiis shares 'this is no longer a dream [Deluxe]’
Ft. Samm Henshaw, Jamilah Barry, Karen Nyame KG, Years & Years +++ Shares OPENHEARTED film

French-Senegalese artist anaiis unveils the deluxe edition of her critically-acclaimed 2021 album, ‘this is no longer a dream’, via her own imprint, Dream Sequence. The deluxe LP features a stellar lineup of collaborations reimagining the original album, showcasing anaiis' evolution as an artist. Together with the release, anaiis shares OPENHEARTED: a love letter to Senegal made with Jenny Brough.

Building anticipation for the release, anaiis has already dropped remixes of tracks from the deluxe edition, including ‘vanishing’ (Jamilah Barry remix) and ‘transcending’ (remix by Karen Nyame KG). The remaining tracks  include collaborations with Years & Years and Eun on 'juno’ dropping this Friday 24th  November, as well as DJ Lulo for ‘cry in your sleep’ feat Chronixx, and the brand new track OPENHEARTED.

On the latest track ‘juno’, anaiis called up two very close friends Eun and Years & Years to reinterpret it in their own unique style, with Olly of Years & Years adding: "I'm so excited this is out in the world ! “this is no longer a dream” by anaiis is one of my favourite albums. I've listened to it on repeat many times so I was extremely honored when she asked me if I'd like to rework juno with her. I love this beautiful song and I'm so happy we could collaborate on this new version".

In crafting the deluxe edition, anaiis prioritized collaborations with artists she admires, ensuring authenticity and a genuine connection. Each remixer and featured artist shares a close relationship with anaiis, showing a deep trust in their ability to contribute to this significant body of work.Reflecting on her artistic journey, anaiis expresses, "I am a lot more confident now, having grown significantly since the release of the original album. This deluxe edition is a celebration of the journey I have been on as an artist. It's a more playful, experimental, evolutive version of the record."

The London-based artist has a rich background of cultural influences, having spent a lifetime moving around the globe. Her innovative and genre-defying style is showcased in previous releases like 'Before Zero' and 'Darkness At Play.' The self-released debut album, 'this is no longer a dream,' received widespread acclaim from notabe critics and publications, solidifying anaiis as one of the most exciting and innovative voices in contemporary R&B. Beyond her musical achievements, anaiis has made significant contributions to the intersection of music, fashion, and high art. Collaborations with the V&A, Camden Arts Centre, Palais De Tokyo, and involvement in fashion campaigns with renowned brands like Paul Smith and Valentino highlight her versatility.

As the artist shares her aspiration for listeners to feel held, heard, and seen through her music, the upcoming deluxe edition promises to provide a safe space for introspection and healing.
