3X LATIN GRAMMY NOMINATED GALE TEAMS UP WITH BRUSES FOR THE SPOOKY NEW SINGLE “MOVIE

3x Latin GRAMMY-nominated Puerto-Rican singer-songwriter GALE (@GALE) enlists Mexican indie-pop artist Bruses for “Movie,” a fun collaboration that pays homage to the best of female-fronted pop-punk. The track exudes main-character energy in a song written about a relationship that makes you feel less than – listen here! Announced earlier this week, GALE is also a confirmed performer at the Latin GRAMMYs which will take place November 16th in Seville, Spain.

It brings GALE back to her early years listening to Simple Plan, Paramore and Avril Lavigne, to name a few. “It’s forward, exciting, upbeat and with a beautiful message of understanding you’re the lead of this movie called life. Nobody should dim your light, or treat you like less. Let’s remember our bad choices from our 20s and have fun while at it!” It’s “fun and not too serious,” intended by GALE and collaborators to “play a lot with the lyrics and production.”

“This song is a bit different from what my music sounds like,” which GALE explains is what she loves the most about it. “It’s perfect for this time of the year where we have fun picking a character and becoming someone else.” A happy halloween for her fans, GALE delivers a classic 90s slasher/horror film-inspired official video, starring the two women teaming up to defeat an evil entity.

“Movie” is GALE’s first offering since she scored the Latin GRAMMY “Best New Artist” nomination this year, celebrating her debut album, “Lo Que No Te Dije” – listen here! As a songwriter, GALE also landed a nomination for “El Merengue” (Marshmello, Manuel Turizo) in the category of “Best Tropical Song.” This year’s nominations bring GALE to a career total of 3 nominations – 2 as a songwriter, 1 for her debut artist project.

Rolling Stone praised GALE as “Latin Pop’s New It Girl” and dubbed her debut a “glowing collection of songs that puts [her] knack for pop melodies and confessional lyricism on display.” Named by Rolling Stone as one of the “Best Albums of 2023” and Billboard as one of the “Best Latin Albums” of the year, the 12-songs track the multi-color shades of GALE’s journey; from fuck-you feminist punk anthems, vulnerable heartbreak ballads and even dream-pop odes to self-pleasure. It’s a delicious combination of pop and eurodance with punk and grunge influences and an urban-flow. “It was all part of what happened to me: this is what I have to say,” she says.

GALE commands every stage she’s on, as she spent her summer performing at festivals and supporting Juanes on his headline tour in Spain. In May the Rolling Stone “Act Set to Make it Big in 2023” and Billboard co-signed “Artist to Watch” performed the national anthem at the F1 Miami Grand Prix and joined the baddest women in music in a Billboard Latin Week panel ‘Boys Club No More!’

GALE’s impressive range and capability is on display throughout her debut album “Lo Que No Te Dije.” She takes us to the dancefloor with electro-beats and eurodance energy on “Nuestra Canción”, which peaked at #7 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart.  Conversely, the Y2K-grunge track “Problemas”, which rocketed to the Top 15, charts the toxicity of pure physical attraction, and “Inmadura” is a rock’n’roll inspired, liberating anthem. Needless to say, GALE opens up without restraint. “D-Pic” is a triumphant reminder that GALE isn’t afraid to venture into uncharted lyrical territory. “No quiero una foto de tu—” (I don’t want a picture of your —) she sings on the chorus; capturing the defiant spirit of an 8M march.
