On 7th April 2022, Swedish audio lifestyle brand Urbanears is announcing the release of their true wireless headphones Urbanears Boo in two different models, made from 97% and 91% recycled plastics* (bottles, air conditioner units and other junk). Dropping on April 12, the new headphones marks the beginning of a new era as the brand is in the making for a better sounding future. Urbanears aims to become fully circular and climate neutral by 2030.

Urbanears Boo introduces two, more sustainable alternatives to the audio market. With the launch of the new headphones, Urbanears wants to inspire the audio electronics industry to move towards a better sounding future and place development and sustainability at its core. By committing to sustainability in every part of their business, Urbanears want to focus on inclusion, equality and transparency.

“Operating in an industry that is yet to adapt to the global climate crisis, we feel that we have a responsibility to act. We owe it to consumers to deliver more sustainable products that are easier on the planet, without having them compromise on sound experience, design or product features. Urbanears Boo is definitely the first, humble step of the way” says Emelie James, Sustainability Manager at Urbanears.
